Building is easier; choosing is still the work

A recent analysis of vibe-coded products argues that insight, taste and distribution—not simply rapid construction—separate useful products from disposable demos.

Building is now the easy part.

The sharper question is whether the product has a reason to exist, a point of view and a path to the people who need it.

The Story

The current product-building wave is making it cheap to produce interfaces. That is exciting, but it also means visual polish alone is less differentiating than it used to be.

The scarce skills are moving upstream: noticing a real friction, choosing what not to build, shaping a coherent experience and finding an audience. Design becomes product judgement rather than surface treatment.

For Studio Wensday, this is permission to work smaller and sharper. A tiny tool with a specific audience and a considered voice may be more valuable than a broad platform that merely proves it can be built.

Studio Wensday Angle

In a low-cost building environment, taste and distribution become strategic design skills.
