The visual studio is becoming audiovisual

Firefly’s newly broadly available music, speech and sound-effects tools point toward a more integrated content workflow—but licensing and taste still matter.

Set the world
Define the brand’s voice, pace, texture and sonic references.
Generate options
Use AI for quick musical, spoken and atmospheric directions.
Curate and clear
Choose deliberately, verify usage rights and edit for the final context.

The Story

Adobe has made Firefly’s Generate Music, Generate Speech and Generate Sound Effects tools broadly available, placing audio creation alongside image, video and design workflows.

For multidisciplinary designers, the shift is meaningful because brand expression increasingly travels through motion, voice and interface feedback—not just static layouts. A campaign’s identity may need to sound as recognisable as it looks.

The caution is familiar but important: commercially safe is not the same as creatively right. Build a sonic point of view first, then use generation to explore within it; otherwise the studio simply produces more interchangeable atmosphere.

Treat generated audio as part of brand direction, not an automatic finishing touch.
