Design tools are becoming creator marketplaces

Framer is combining AI website creation with a community layer for showcasing work, selling resources and building reputation.

The Story

Framer’s broader platform strategy now connects website creation with discovery and monetisation: its new Community includes a marketplace, gallery, awards, social feed and contests. ([framer.com](https://www.framer.com/blog/framer-3/))

The company says more than 7,000 creators sell templates and components through its marketplace, and that it paid out $6.5 million to creators in 2025 without taking revenue share. Those are platform-reported figures, but they point to a meaningful shift in how design work can be packaged.

For Studio Wensday, the opportunity is to think beyond client services. Templates, systems, workshops, references and small digital products can turn your design process into a portfolio of useful things—not just a sequence of one-off projects.
