Web agents are moving from pages to behaviour

Webflow’s latest MCP update lets agents build interactions, work with CMS content faster, and deploy or debug Webflow Cloud apps.

The hard part of an AI-built site is increasingly what happens after the first draft.

The Story

Webflow says agents can now create interactions, filter CMS content more quickly, and deploy or debug a Webflow Cloud application through MCP. That moves agentic building beyond static page assembly and into the behaviour of a live product.

For designers, this raises the value of specifying motion, states, content rules, and failure cases early. A visual direction that cannot explain how it behaves across real content is not yet a usable system.

A practical Studio Wensday workflow would be to prototype the visual language first, define the interaction principles second, and only then let an agent handle repetitive implementation. Speed is useful when the design intent remains legible. ([webflow.com](https://webflow.com/updates))

The next design-system layer is behavioural, not merely visual.
