Your brand library can now become a content engine

Figma Weave can use existing Figma frames as inputs for campaign variations, localized assets, new visuals, and video.

The useful shift is not generation alone, but generation with design context intact.

The Story

Figma’s new Figma node lets designers bring an existing frame directly into a Weave workflow, while selectively exposing text and image layers as editable inputs. Fonts, layout, and styling can stay anchored while the system produces new variations.

That makes the feature more interesting than a prompt-to-image shortcut. It treats the brand system as working material: something that can be adapted repeatedly without rebuilding the visual logic every time.

For Studio Wensday, the opportunity is a small, well-structured source library: approved type, colour, composition, image behaviour, and campaign modules. Good systems will make variation feel intentional rather than merely abundant. ([figma.com](https://www.figma.com/release-notes/?utm_source=openai))

Design systems are becoming generative inputs, not just documentation.
