Rehearsal is becoming a native creator feature

YouTube’s Live Practice Mode gives creators a private space to test setup and content before broadcasting publicly.

The Story

YouTube is rolling out Live Practice Mode in its mobile app, allowing creators to rehearse a stream privately before starting the public broadcast. The platform also noted that older Studio mobile app versions would stop being supported from 9 September. ([support.google.com](https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/9072033?hl=en))

This is a small product change with a useful creative principle inside it: performance quality improves when the cost of trying is low. Rehearsal creates room for awkward first attempts without turning them into public artefacts.

For Studio Wensday, it supports a lighter publishing rhythm—test a short critique, walkthrough, or studio note privately, then share the version with the clearest shape.
