When AI gets its own brand, trust becomes visible
Intuit’s new “One Intuit” system gives its AI offering a distinct identity, making the relationship between automation and human expertise explicit.
A sub-brand can clarify a promise — or reveal an anxiety.
The Story
Intuit’s overhaul brings its portfolio under a shared architecture while giving “Intuit Intelligence” a separate name and identity. The design challenge is not simply consistency; it is explaining where machine assistance ends and human judgement begins.
That makes this especially relevant for creative teams building AI-assisted services. Naming, visual separation and interface language can help users understand what is generated, what is reviewed and what remains accountable to a person.
The caution is that branding cannot manufacture trust on its own. If the product experience feels opaque, a polished AI sub-brand may read as reassurance theatre. The identity has to be backed by clear behaviour, provenance and useful control. ([studio2am.co](https://studio2am.co/blogs/news/this-week-in-design-formula-e-intuit-laika))

AI branding works best when it explains responsibility, not just capability.
