Ads are moving from messages toward conversations

OpenAI is testing Sponsored Agents and adding AI creative tools to Ads Manager, bringing interactive brand experiences closer to the ad itself.

Measure usefulness, not only clicks

The Story

OpenAI says it is testing Sponsored Agents, which let people begin a conversation with a business-sponsored agent after clicking an ad. It is also adding prompt-based creative tools in ChatGPT Work and new capabilities in Ads Manager. ([openai.com](https://openai.com/index/reimagining-advertising-with-ai/?utm_source=openai))

The design challenge is no longer only how an advert looks. It is what the brand can responsibly say, remember, recommend, and refuse once the user enters a conversational space.

For a small studio, this points toward a new kind of brand system: voice principles plus interaction principles. Define the tone, escalation rules, product knowledge, and moments where a human should take over before designing the clever campaign layer.

Conversational advertising makes brand voice operational, not merely editorial.
