AI’s real design impact is becoming measurable
Figma’s latest research treats AI adoption as a changing work system, not a productivity scoreboard.
Figma’s 2026 AI impact index, nearly double its 2024 score.
The Story
Figma has published a useful update to its multi-year AI research, combining annual surveys with 639 AI-moderated interviews and a traceable thematic-analysis workflow.
The interesting part is methodological: the team used AI to process more than two million words, but designed human review, context, and auditability into the system. That is a much healthier model for creative AI than simply trusting a summary.
For Studio Wensday, the takeaway is to measure AI by better collaboration, clearer decisions, and stronger work—not by how quickly a draft appears. ([figma.com](https://www.figma.com/blog/measuring-the-impact-of-ai/))
