The next design asset may be a workflow

Figma is opening community publishing for custom Weave tools, including repeatable image and vector-generation workflows.

Identify a repeatable creative task
Look for work that currently depends on the same prompts, settings or production steps.
Turn it into a tool
Package the logic as a reusable Weave workflow with clear inputs and boundaries.
Publish with an opinion
Document when the tool helps, where it fails and what kind of taste it assumes.

The Story

Figma now lets people publish custom Weave tools to the Figma Community. The tools can support repeatable image and vector generation, while image and vector tools can also be used directly inside Figma Design.

This points toward a more interesting model of creative tooling: not one giant assistant, but many small, opinionated instruments shaped by practitioners. The tool itself becomes part of the designer’s point of view.

For Studio Wensday, the opportunity is to productise process knowledge. A well-made internal tool could encode a visual rule, a content pattern or a recurring art-direction move without pretending to replace judgement.

Studio Wensday Angle

Treat workflows as authored creative objects.
