Vercel is now promoting FastAPI frontends and static files to its CDN at build time, so eligible requests can avoid invoking a Vercel Function. It is a technical update with a very human consequence: less waiting.
For designers, performance should not be treated as a developer-only concern. Motion, imagery, typography, and interaction all arrive through the same perceived experience; a beautiful page that hesitates is still poorly art-directed.
